I discovered an artist, Jean Haines, who does incredible “atmospheric” watercolors. I’ve been practicing some of her exercises. Just wanted to mention that I’m going to write my comments on last week’s work tomorrow along with this week’s.

I tried copying this painting in her book. (I actually have a couple of her books). She has various exercises in them, and I’m attempting to learn the atmospheric approach. She’s really inspirational!

I love this look! I went to Jean’s site… inspiring. I love the way your daffodils melt down the page… they seem like they are drifting in space. Your sensitivity comes through.
