It was raining on and off Saturday. I shouldn’t have gone but I had planned a Saturday painting! It rained and I had to make a run for it . I finished it in the studio but I could never chosen these dull colors from a photo. Creative summer to all!

Spending too much time at my desk and needed a sketch break. I was working on hand studies from a  Caravaggio painting. It’s fun with a big computer screen to work from!

You can only paint at this beautiful spot for about 2 days before the onslaught of black flies and mosquitos! I was fortunate to have one of them last weekend .
