“CEW Eagle” I can’t take the credit for this… it was our summer “group” project in A & C. About 30 campers took part in it’s creation. I was the orchestrator. The body feathers are made of mussel shells from Gardner Lake, attached with little pieces of leather. The head and tail are covered with birch bark… the wing feathers comprised of all types of feathers… the feet and beak are sculpting wire… the eyes are sea glass. My new discovery in this project was the hot wire cutter…so much fun! The base for the sculpture is glued blocks of foam. The wire cutter lets you sculpt like your cutting through butter.

That’s absolutely amazing. I can’t wait to see it!!!
This wonderful. What a great community project.

This is an amazing assemblage sculpture that you all did. Natural elements everywhere! And a technique challenge as well, I imagine. I love that these challenges have us all reaching to try new things. And now you have a wonderful communal piece of art for the camp. Thank you for keeping us all going!
This is great! And love the shells for the feathers. Can’t wait to see it
I can almost feel the collective creative energy that gzve birth to the eagle! She is so noble and beautiful! I’m sure she will inspire campers for years to come!
