You’ve honored her and brought her to life, giving her an identity. She looks stoic in spite of what she’s endured.
This is lovely. I saw the movie years ago and have a vague memory of very strict standards for them and that they considered it an honor. I’m not sure how accurate that is…? Anyway, it inspired a beautiful painting.
She’s ready to please. Love the brushwork, color & value changes. The bow on her back has a meaning of it’s own and in a good place.
