I’ve been making little collages in a sketchbook, using just scraps, a glue stick, and a few pens. This one came out ok, although I wish I hadn’t added the dots. Thank you for your good wishes on my recovery from knee replacement. I’m doing very well and hope to “graduate” from walker to came tomorrow if the physical therapist is happy with my progress.
Great news, glad all is going well.
I’m trying to decide whether the little dots are coming out of or going into the piece below them. What ever, they add movement and energy.

You got separated from your studio…but not your art! I’m so happy you’re recovering so well.
The organic feel with all the textures, rough edges and “growing” shapes is compelling. I’ve tried to read the bottom script intrigues me…but I can’t quite read it. The last three words look like “him must own”. Is there any help you can give? Or, is this ambiguity part of the piece?
It doesn’t really say anything. It’s just marks that I scribbled to add a dark value at the bottom. I wonder sometimes, though, if my hand is being guided by something outside myself. 🤔
I hope that your recovery is swift and comfortable.
The little dots are cute, and appear to be buzzing around the top of a hive!
