The first and second collages are from another class I’m taking. The teacher shows you how to mount a collage onto a cradled board. It’s a bit of a process, but I think the result looks nice.
The last one is a group of mini collages mounted on deckle edge watercolor paper. I cut the paper and made the deckled edge. This is from the same class as above. One of my edges is rough but I can fix that later. I was running out of daylight when I finished them.

The cradled board makes a really nice finished work. I like this piece with the light in the upper left, it feels like I’m on a street at dusk. I also like the feeling of the grouping of the small ones.

The cradled board presents the work really well. The little grouping of collages keeps my eye dancing around. The colors seem to give it a sense of movement.
You are showing us what can be done with collage! They are amazing. When we finish the challenge, I want to get to work and make some papers. They are a great addition to a painting, even if not used totally on their own as you do. I also live your mark making on the mounted pieces.
#1 is atmospheric with lots of depth. I’m drawn to seemingly cracked walls and a tiny absndoned clock. The streetlight outside the window adds to the sense of stillness and mystery. I feel like It’s possibly in an old Fench town. They are beautifully mounted.
