1. This was done along with the one I posted last week.
2. I worked on painting loose, semi abstract, “sloppy” flowers this week. I had some lisianthus to look at, but this was the most successful one, I’m afraid. I’ll keep working on it.

I see a close up of beautiful flowers in number 1. The purple bits near the middle drew me in, and the meandering line at the right is a lovely balance to them. It keeps me circling back to look at the other parts of the painting. The small orange area at the left breaks up the color and adds interest too. This is lovely.
my favorite #1 with the thick paint and it feels like it was done with purpose and no hesitation or over thinking.

I agree with the above, #1 is my favorite this week. The circular flow of those rich purples and greens, create a beautiful movement and organic feel to the piece. I also like the light negative spaces on the right and bottom. They create an interesting form going on and off the canvas.
I love #1, as well. It’s amazing how your abstract flowers have such dimension. You capture the velvety petals that curl into unique shapes, and the brushstrokes have such energy.
I also like #1. I can see the shapes of the flowers & stems and it still reads abstract.
