The following 4 are the visual parts of a very short story about our cat, Roo. I decided to use pan pastels. This is #1. Roo has a very active night life and seems to want Mike and I to join in the fun. Several times during the night she visits us and meows rather loudly. We say hello and politely explain to her that night is our sleeping time. See seems to forget, however. In the morning she is delighted that we’re finally awake, at last. She appreciates the company (and food). Soon, however, she’s had enough fun and wanders over to her favorite napping spot to take a well deserved rest!

I have 3 cats, so I understand. 4.30 is when Jolene starts jumping on the bed to wake me up. I really love the one where she’s looking at the moon.
Your animal drawings are always so wonderfully done. I don’t have a favorite here. They all look so content, happy & well fed.
I agree with Adrienne, love them all for different reasons. I think you really captured the contentment in #4. Just enough details!
What a happy little story about night life of your cat! Great beginning with the meows in the dark, then gazing into the moonlight just thinking about her possible exploits…. One wonders what worked up her little appetite for that milk! Painting wise, #4 is my favorite. She looks so content, soft and cuddly….
Roo looks like a well loved and content cat! You’ve captured him beautifully with pan pastel,,,i love all the different and subtle color shifts of his fur.
Great little story. I love #2 with the cat and the moon, great feeling of the moonlight on Roo.
