This has beautiful, soft color and I’m drawn to the spot of orange.
I can feel the ruggedness of the Maine landscape. There seems to be mountains, water and a tall pine tree. The little patch of orange is a great focal point.
I love the array of blues and greens in this. The strong mark making leads me in out and around. The colors and juxtaposition of the horizontal and vertical suggest to me a land, water, sky theme.
This is very interesting, a lot to feel and look at, with soft and hard edges leading in and out of the painting, anchored by the one diagonal and spot of orange.
