I’ve withdrawn from the class I was going to take primarily because I was uncomfortable with the technology. Now that I’m on my own I’ve decided to focus on composition, color and mark making. My primary focus is however, how do I want to paint? I think playing and experimenting each day will hopefully bring some answers.
Playing and experimenting sounds like a wonderful way to go. I like this piece, it feels like a study in parts of flowers.

This one has lots of interest. I like your mix of colors, with the steel gray against the brighter patches. That area with little tiny bits of color draws my eye. I love it!
I like the rich color and particularly the composition in this one. The darker purples frame up your center of interest with all those little pieces of interesting color and strong contrast. Really pretty…

I’m glad you gave yourself permission to play. Figuring out your style is not easy, but play and experimenting will give you some direction, I’m sure.
