This week I completed three paintings all in gouache. The first one is a sketch that I had done at camp. The tape that I had ripped off had notes for what I had wanted the values and everything to be so I worked off that. The second one is another sketch of these clouds I must’ve seen that day. And the final one is a painting of these three trees. I found a photo of this painting on my phone and thought it would just be fun to try and paint!

It’s great that you’re enjoying the gouache, I like the nice strong shapes and pieces. I look forward to seeing more

I agree those strong shapes and values are your trademark. These are great!
I’m so glad you’re doing the challenge! Nice big shapes and clear values in these! I also like the way you have started to break down the shapes without losing the overall value of the big shape.

I got #1 and 3 but not 2. Your shapes are so strong and your values within them hold our interest with the colors and values you’ve used…very n ice
Hallie is doing charcoal drawing. If you talk to her it would be fun to encourage her to post one.
I only received 1 and 3, as well. You do wonderful landscape paintings that reflect and honor nature. I’m sure that your time spent in Maine has been an inspiration. Keep up the great work!
I could only see #1 and #3 as well, but really like your strong shapes and bold color! I especially like the first one. It makes me feel happy!
