Attached is a watercolor of poppies. It’s my effort at looser structure that was intended to be more impressionist style.
Although it ended up a little muddy even after 4 attempts, it’s a start.

It doesn’t look muddy to me at all, I really like the way the color flows into different values. Overall a nice airy feeling.

Great, these poppies are lovely! Soft and flowing, I see no mud…. The colors have nice variety. Your hint at foliage is perfect, too.

Thank you for your encouragement! I did four other versions of it and even tried different papers to work out how much water I needed to use. I appreciate your input.
