This is a ghost print that I liked, but it had a big empty area that bothered me. I added a quote about autumn and didn’t like the way it looked, so I covered it with a lacy mulberry paper scrap and found a word I liked. There are lots of options to continue working on these if you just think of it as a drawing or painting.

Nice balance with the dark, light and word.

This composition works really well. The stems and leaves lead my eye around the painting right through the “imagery”. I like the way all the leaves are going off the edge of the print, giving them the feeling of floating.
Is a ghost print a second run?
Yes, what’s left on the plate. I put paint on for a new print but the background I was aiming for had this on it, so I kept it. I usually like them better than the first print.
