The brushwork really pulls the eye into the painting and captures the texture of the landscape.

I see some distinct and interesting blending of the rough ground in the front, follow ed by the solidity of the building and yard, then leading to the tranquility of the water in the distance. From adventure to comfort to peace. You showed us an entire day in Maine!
I know where you were standing that day, and I love your take on that’s view. The rough brushwork in the foreground really allows your eye to settle on the building. It also gives you the wild feeling of that place. Very powerful!
