It has been a busy summer but my goal was to load my car Friday afternoon and at least go somewhere Saturday. Rain or shine ……or fog. ….lots of fog!
I was also trying to work more on my composition before I started which didn’t always work out but I’m at least thinking of it!
Margaret, these are great! So many things I love, but my favorite thing is that they all transport me to Maine! Bold, colorful, fresh, soft, moody, wonderful…. Can’t wait to get there!
Margaret these are just wonderful! Your color is spectacular….even making a foggy day delicious. Your compositions are strong with great shapes. These paintings really capture the feeling of Downeast.
These are so lovely! You really capture the atmosphere of the location. I think my favorite is the one with boats. It has beautiful reflections and the loose, vaguely indicated shoreline is a great setting for them.
I like the feeling of Maine and the use of bold shapes and pieces. I like them all and my favorites are the first one with the building overlooking the water and the other is the road and signs leading me into the curve and wondering where it’s leading (I get a great feeling of movement in that one)
These are beautiful Margaret. Strong colors. My favs are the boats which have a calm feeling to it and the yellow house with the splashes of sunlit areas.
You’re so lucky to live in Maine!!! You share the peaceful strength of the land so well. I especially love the boats.
