This week there is a free online workshop with Nicholas Wilton, Art2Life, who is teaching design, value and color. I like his energy and he works abstract, which I would love to try. He uses all sorts of fun tools, paints, crayons, mixed media. It’s a fun and informative workshop. I’m excited to experiment more!
This landscape painting is my third lesson from the workshop I have been taking online with Chris who is on teachable. The next one is a portrait 😱😂
This looks like a lovely, warm place to be. It makes me want to go there. Your water and reflections are wonderful. Your values are very strong too. Enjoy the workshop!
Wow, you’re really eating up these workshops and coming up with some wonderful work. It looks like you’re having fun which is most important.

I love that tree and it looks like you had fun with it. The greatest thing that came from Covid is all the online classes available. Keep at it!
Hi Maureen, Yes it is me, the original Adrienne from years gone by. I’ve been enjoying your paintings very much. Sorry I haven’t had the opportunity to comment. Looks like you’re enjoying yourself a lot and I give you tons of credit by researching and trying different subject matter. Portraits next week, I’m looking forward to seeing it. Welcome to the group, one of these zooms we’ll reconnect.
Adrienne! I’m so happy to reconnect after so many years! 💕 What a wonderful inspiring group of artists you all are! I’m so happy to be here and can’t wait to see you over zoom! Also just want to hug you!
This has the feel of contentment for me. I think it stems from your overarching tree. After first taking in the house and reflection, my eye is drawn up the trunk, across your leaf laden branches. and down to the house again. The tree encircles and protects perhaps?
You’re obviously learning a whole lot from the workshops. This is really nice. I took the CVP program last year and am doing it again this year. They give you a huge break i n price the second time you take it. He teaches very differently and it is perhaps more geared to abstract work, but can be applied to anything. I’ll take a look at my downloads and see what you might find helpful and will send them to you. I’m not sure if I can send anything directly but will try when the course gets started next week. Check out Louise Fletcher too.
I love that you took his course and liked that one of your comments reminded me of his workshop! It made me happy to know you took his course! Quiet and loud conversations, interesting shapes of various sizes, use of color and value, he squeezed a lot in a short week. I loved his energy and teaching style and wished I could drive up to Sausalito to take a course in person! It’s a bit on the expensive side, but sounds like you got a lot out of it and happy to hear there is a good discount to take it again. Thank you for seeing if you can send any of the downloads and I’ll definitely check out Louise Fletcher! Can’t wait to hear how your course goes next week!
