The artist I like is Lisa Breslin. I really like the shapes and abstraction of her flowers and the line work she uses. I used pen she uses pencil. I pretty much copied her flowers which I know we weren’t supposed to do but i wanted to practice . Mine really aren’t close to what hers look like. I will continue to try making flowers that have interesting shapes, but are not realistic. I have been painting without anything to look at, so will try using real flowers to look at and see how that goes. The color in the photo is very strange, but hopefully you get the idea. Here is the link to the original by Lisa. https://www.lisabreslow.com/Afternoon-LBreslow-2019.php
Sharon, I like this. It’s a different handling of flowers than I think of, but It says flowers, for sure. I like the colors, too.
I like the different feeling of angles in the shapes, soft and hard makes it very interesting.

I agree with the above. And your color shapes within each flower make them very interesting. I want to keep looking.
Copying someone you enjoy is a great way to learn. I know those are your colors because no one makes those beautiful lavenders and greens like you!I’ll look at her work, this is very nice.
I really like the mark making and color pieces you and she used. I also like the way the design of round flower shapes has a geometric backdrop. It’s effective. Thanks so much for introducing me to her work.
Wonderful shapes and color changes in this piece. The dark markings ever so subtle add to it’s uniqueness.
The word that comes to mind when I look at the painting is ‘passion’. The lively brushstrokes of color surrounding the outer flowers give them lots of energy.
