This is my challenge painting. I was disappointed that I couldn’t get the paint thickness that Van Gogh got, but I think I got the palette and a few of the brushstrokes. I based it on one of my old paintings. This was a really fun challenge! Thank you Sharon!

I’m not sure what happened to my inspiration photo, but it was Van Gogh, Harvest Landscape, 1888.
Sorry about that Deb. I didn’t scroll down I guess. The inspiration painting is now posted.
Deb, it does have a Van Gogh feel for sure. You can’t tell the paint thickness in the photo anyway, and your palette is perfect !
I really like this with the shapes and pieces. I hope you still have two ears!

I love your colors and those patterned of green that lead me through the fields
I love the way you got the feel of Van Gogh, in your own style. The topography;hy of your hills with the undulating darks is very effective. The house row leads the eye beautifully with those little red roofs. I wasn’t familiar with that painting of his, but really like it.
Thanks for posting the inspiration photo. I never know if things get lost in cyberspace for some reason or I didn’t get the proper permissions to use it…you know. Anyway-thanks for finding it!
This really has a Van Gogh feeling to it. I love the repetition of the curves of the trees and even the lambs in contrast to the geometric shapes of the little houses. It’s definitely your painting!
This truly looks like Van Goghs style. I can envision him sitting by the hours painting a picture like this. Nicely done
I especially love the winding paths, and discovering the activity in the village such as the sheep, the two figures and the houses.
