I finally painted for a bit yesterday. This was done quickly, but I wanted to send something. The black at the bottom was my sleeve that had been in the black paint. I left it because I thought it moved the eye around the painting.

This looks almost prismatic to me-not broken colors so much as the faceted look on the glass and table. I really like it!
I love all the variation in texture and rhythms in this. The flourishes of shades of violet carry me around the picture. That bright splash of violet above the pale green is just beautiful.

I’m especially drawn to the purple vase. The lip is beautifully done. It’s subtle and the little patch of light is perfectly placed.
