Nicely done picture with the shapes and values. I’ve heard about those infamous Black Flies. They look pretty big, cast quite a shadow.
You’ve painted this from an interesting perspective which makes a nice composition.
I think our black flies froze during the freeze we had ,,,i’ve hardly seen one this years…mosquitoes are a different story!
The critters add an interesting texture! They are immortalized!
