I did this with green and red…I think Pthalo green and quin. red, . I extended the left building off the page, and tried to deemphasize the foreground building and grasses, so the light coming across the field got more attention…which was the motivation for my painting. Scroll Down.

(I’m not able to bring up the original) but I absolutely love the stillness of the barns, fields and the glowing patches of pink.
I remember that day! I like the changes to the composition. Really brings me into the front field. I love the light value on that bush.
It’s really interesting how you redirected the focus of the painting. But I also love the soft colors of the original.
