1. Still trying to find my way. These all seem to end with a flower theme. Would like to get completely abstract, but not there yet. I just listened to a podcast where the artist said she did a painting a day for two years!!!

Wish I could be inside your head to see how you put things where you put them….and your colors! So soft, yet so strong.
It might not be what your looking for but I love them ALL. I don’t do flowers because I can’t. You do them instinctively, maybe not wanting too and their beautiful. Their loose and soft. Your backgrounds are also great, strong colors, love the brushwork.
A painting a day for 2 yrs, good for her. I couldn’t take the pressure.
Shar, these are delicious! Each one has gorgeous shape…color….beautiful lost dreamy lines. It seems to me that you do flowers because YOU LOVE FLOWERS! You do them abstractly, but unlike abstract for abstract sake… these have soulfulness.
For a long time, “flower painters” took a bad wrap, and that’s too bad. However, I never look at your flowers and say, ‘flower painter’… You do something else with those living shapes. I never give you advice… but sister… embrace your uniqueness and run with it!
Each one of these has something I love! The intensity of the flower colors are so complimented by the greens. 2 and 4 look like there was some printmaking involved, very cool. The vases in 3 and 5 are beautiful. Don’t you dare feel bad about painting flowers! They are soft and rich at the same time. They are just loose enough…. I’d say you had a great week! (Yes, 2 years sounds like a long time)

Why would you want to leave your beautiful floral arrangements behind? I love them
I agree. Flowers seem to really be your subject. You always do them beautifully. These are all rich and elegant.

They are all so beautiful as always, and my favorite is #5. The subtle outlines accent it so perfectly. I love the colors.
It feels and looks to me like you’re finding your way. I keep being pulled to number 3, it’s a bit more mysterious.
