I have a whole new respect for fabric. These have been fun to do, but each study poses challenges…. #1#2#3#4#5#6#7

You chose a real challenge, Susan. Your values, color, brushstrokes all become so much more important , as they should be. Downplaying the subject matter is not an easy thing, but you are succeeding.
These are all very beautiful. I especially like #3 and #7. They tell a story, I think. A painting of a dressmaker’s shop with someone being fitted and fabrics draped all around would be interesting.

I could only bring up #1, but it is so beautiful. I see a figure resting upon the blue shape and fabric. He had fabric draped over his back.

What a challenge! I find them all very interesting and even though I know they’re fabric I see all sorts of images in them. Great way to do abstract!

This has to be a challenge just to set it up. I like the shapes and pieces of color..they say fabric but are also have a graphic and design appeal in their own right. My favorite is #5

Their all very nice, great shapes, brush strokes, wonderful colors. I like the one that, to me, looks like a little girl lying on her bed.
Dolly is sleeping…

I love your color harmonies to set the mood. they remind me of maggie siner’s designs. quite beautiful
I took a short class from Maggie on Winslow. She inspired me to pay attention to the gesture of fabric…
