These are two studies using subtle contrast for a “second look”. I could only manage a series of two..used cold wax, collage and a little mark making. The idea is that you have contrast which draws you for a first look and then do subtle contrast when you lookup close to keep it interesting. You probably all do this naturally, but I like putting a name on it

Interesting and a good tip when thinking about composing.

Both pieces are so interesting. I love the unexpected swirls of color and dot and line… You definitely hold attention beyond the first moment of capture and lure it on…
Sharon , so very beautiful , love the colors and composition . I could use them both on the wall in my dining area 😊, your work , as always , inspires me ,

I love the analogous color scheme and you were so successful leading the eye around not only one but the two panels!beautiful
I agree. You always do this, I think. Something about your painting will grab my attention, but then I’m compelled to keep looking. These are lovely.

So beautiful! The energy and movement along with the subtlety of color is incredible.
I like how you added to the 2nd study, to me it gives it more depth & interest. As always you have great colors
