This is a pastel I did at Hurd Park last week. I’m thinking about soft pastel for the older kids and oil pastel for the younger campers with Plein air this year. Experimenting… It has been a while since I’ve done soft pastel.

I always love pastels and this is no exception. The abstract design is great. The fact that you put the tree right in the center makes the design even stronger. That tree and its reflection are rock solid!
Pastel is so difficult and you did a very nice job keeping your colors fresh and clean- not smudging and overworking. I think the kids are so fortunate to have you and will love this!
