I had a rough day so no creativity but this is a painting of my mother from years ago. She loved looking at photo albums from times she could remember. I often wonder….without art and paintings…what will our ancestors know of us with this digital world?

I really like the gouache paintings you’ve been doing. There’s something very crisp and clean about them. My favorite this week is the pine trees and snow. Knockout design!
While I love the feeling you have captured in the painting of your mother, I have to say I’m wowed by your gouache of camp. It’s gorgeous… strong design, quiet beautiful color… great feeling!
I can ‘feel’ your mother sitting by the window. You havw captured so much in your painting, such warmth and peace. And the gesture of her turning the page… a loving portrait.

This painting really speaks to me. I see my mother when I look at it.

Love your work in gouache! “No expectations “is a good thing, I think. Love how bold these have been.

What a lovely picture. Your mother looks very content in her thoughts.
