This could use more work, but I wanted to post something …the tree and light were all made up and not very correct.

I like the evocative feel of the trees and the light coming through. The trees should be off balance because of the difference in size but that dark green in front balances the composition. I always love to see your work
I agree with Margaret. You achieved a sense of balance with the foreground dark. I also like the light/dark on the large tree. It suggests an interesting atmosphere.
Shar, I love the sense of atmosphere and texture in this painting. I also love the close relationships in color. There’s a kind of dreamlike quality in it to me. A place to lie in the grass and daydream.
