I did a number of takes (tries) of the “challenge.” You’d think I’d be able to do the subject matter in my sleep – NOT.
I’m sending you 3 choices: Plain, colored pencil & then added water to the pencils. Slight experiment with the watercolor pencils.

Somehow i like the pencil most. And the hat is perfect. I have done it twice and scrubbed out so this is very successful. Proportions are great and you have the weight of him sitting right on that chair. well done

These are all great. I like the way he seems to be leaning in, as though he’s really intent on what he’s doing. I tried several times without success, but will keep at it. He’s a wonderful model!
