I picked zinnias at a local farm and attempted a pastel. I think I need to tweek it but need to set it aside for a bit. This a card I made for Mike’s 70th on 9/22. He loves feeding the birds (and all the other critters).Joshua and I heard the chipmunk chirping so I got out my sketch pad and she modeled! This a collage of the field where I picked the zinnias. It was so peaceful… the warm sun, the Fall overgrowth of weeds, the bees and butterflies visiting the beautiful flowers.

Yikes Lynda… These pieces all are Lynda, but have so much diversity. Each one is a joy to look at. My favorite is the zinnias. They make me look at zinnias in a whole new way. Your tender portrayal of the blossoms is so beautiful. And, I love the way you fade down from the blossoms. Mo tweaks needed, it’s a winner!
Lynda, these are all so lovely! I love the birthday card, and your connection to cats really shines through. I love the shoulder muscles tensed and ready to spring. Really beautiful!
What wonderful pictures. The 1st painting is so soft and inviting. The last so full of wonderful flowers & colors. The chipmunk is lucky the cat is stuck behind the window.
These are all so wonderfully different, Lynda.. i admire that you can use so many different media. your drawing of the cat is so sensitive…yes, an illustration for t children’s book. Is the last one all collage or either some painting underneath? It’s so bright and cheerful!

Lynda, these are all so wonderful! Love the zinnias, especially… although the cat and chipmunk are so fun!
