This painting is of Maddie and Natalie… Gardner Lake. I worked from a study I did last year. After a series of days of painting, to wake up and scrape, I decided to rework the figures. This is oil and cold wax.

Love the energy, like flying. Also reminds me of camp when I never did jump off the dock and go to the next level!

It does feel like flying-and happiness and freedom. I also like the softness.
I can feel the joy they are sharing! Great moment to too
Pure joy…and I can feel the warmth of the sun in the orange lines!
Love this! Their arms and legs are so joyful! Their hair adds to the feeling of movement, too.
Such a great feeling of freedom and movement. You have such a feeling for gesture in your figures!

The little glow of light on Maddie’s arm/head along with the top Nat’s leg/torso and the light on the water, I feel the warmth of fun in the sun.
You captured a moment of freedom and delight!
