This my “joy” painting.  Phelps thought it was done by Celia, our eight year old granddaughter.  There you go…I must be regressing!  It’s not finished or even worth finishing, but I wanted to send it.

I painted this over an old, unfinished painting…trying different mark making etc.,  it was fun to do, but isn’t quite the effect I was after.  A good way to get back to painting!

The artist I like is Lisa Breslin.  I really like the shapes and abstraction of her flowers and the line work she uses.  I used pen she uses pencil.  I pretty much copied her flowers which I know we weren’t supposed to do but i wanted to practice ....

I finally painted for a bit yesterday.  This was done quickly, but I wanted to send something.  The black at the bottom was my sleeve that had been in the black paint.  I left it because I thought it moved the eye around the painting.

The color doesn’t look great in this photo.  It’s a bit brighter in real time, but still fairly greyed out.  There’s some collage here too.

This is a random one I did very quickly…it could still use some work.  We are now working on a series in  the class, but just beginning so nothing to send.,
