This is a historic cabin in the Smokies.  There are several more, plus churches and a mill. We’ve only gotten there once this summer, and I ended up  doing this one from a photo.

I’ve been doing color block studies. None of them are quite what I was going for, but this is the best so far. I’m trying to get more comfortable with still life, and this is, I hope, going to help. Geometric shapes are not my favorite thing!
