I tried using pastel sand paper and it was harder to manage the pastels. Experimenting with different paper makes a difference regardless of the medium, so the learning curve continues for me.  The iphone adds more values, so the real thing is a little more murky...

I tried some simple abstract monoprints on the gelli plate. Number 1 is color blocking, number 2 is layers of color, number 3 is layers of color with mark making 2. 3.
