This is a pastel I did at Hurd Park last week. I’m thinking about soft pastel for the older kids and oil pastel for the younger campers with Plein air this year. Experimenting… It has been a while since I’ve done soft pastel.

I got swarmed by black flies while out starting this! It was a bad composition and the foreground got scrubbed out several times before I got some inspiration from Albert marquet to resolve the foreground. Happy spring 😎
