#1 I wanted to try a new color palette, so I did some acrylic mini-paintings. This is step 1 with India yellow, quinacridone magenta, and ultramarine blue.

#2 I tried to calm the chaos with warm and cool grays made from the same palette.

#3 final step. I think I should have stopped at step 2. It felt too hard-edged, so tried to soften things and add a focal point. I’m not crazy about the result but I learned some things. I may try this again a different way.
I do like number 2, the feeling of the paint clean and thick.

I like the richness of the colors in#1 and the brightness in #2
These are wonderful little jewels…
These are so colorful and fun. It’s like working in a sketchbook which everyone keeps talking about…a really good way to try out new things and experiment.
#2 is my favorite. The colors are wonderfully fresh, and I love the application of the paint, the various thicknesses…..I could look at these for a long time and not get tired of them.
They are all so pretty! What a clever way to try a new pallet. I love the colors in both and they are all so unique!
I love #1, ( I think it’s 1…has the bright colors ). These are really exciting!
