Here’s my study of Vermeers ‘ milkmaid’. I don’t even want to know how many hours I have in it but it was fun and addictive! I used burnt umber and white.

As with Lynda’s a perfect value study. The drawing is great and the milk looks so real. That’s where my eye goes to first. A wonderful work, well worth all the hours you put in.
Wow! Just beautiful! I’m so drawn to her face, so focused upon her task. And the milk pouring into the bowl is incredible!

Beautiful study! Your values are so on. The contrast of light and dark inspiring and dramatic. I never realized in the color version how beautifully he used values. The figure has weight and substance. Her gaze at that precious milk is tender and thoughtful.
