   My first thought was: a colorful row of beach cottages waiting for fun in the sun. Looks inviting.

   I agree! It looks very inviting. And charming. You and Fred are making me miss the ocean, but I can enjoy it through you.

   This has a nostalgic feel to me. The little beach cottages in CT along the shore were so friendly and spoke summer, and sand, and salt. They may be replaced now by huge beach houses, but these are the family gathering spots I think of when people used to say they had a cottage at the beach.

   Such a wonderful memory of simpler beach scenes. We spent summers with my grandparents in a similar house. Very powerful to evoke such memories
