Is this one of the foxes in your yard?
I liked how you incorporated the actual pumpkin in the colors of the painting. He has a nice smile, a happy fox.
Hi Susan,
I just gently wash the pumpkin of any dirt, then just paint. I do spray it with an acrylic sealer, just because it’s probably handled at the vets.

Hi Adrienne,
My model was from a wildlife calendar! The buddies in the yard don’t stay still for long!

That’s a really happy looking fox, the pumpkin seems to be a great canvas for you!

I agree with the above, your little red fox is an adorable, happy little fellow. You captured a kind of kindness in his eyes as well. To do that on a pumpkin, yikes! Technical question: How do you prepare the surface of the pumpkin? It appears to have a wonderful waxy surface..
Absolutely beautiful! My son has a samoyed and it looks like her- the smiling dog
We’ve had red foxes in our area for the last few years. They are so beautiful! This is wonderful!
