Your transcriptions are wonderful. They made my look up Marquet… such good work. Your capture of the design, colors and values in such a clean and simple way is just great! Transcriptions look like fun and a great learning and analyzing tool! I can see why you like doing them. You get in the artists skin!
I highly recommend trying it with an artist you admire. It a great way to understand their choice of color, values and composition. It’s so fun cause they have already worked out the problems!
I had to look up what a transcription is….it sounds like a good learning tool. You are definitely a student of art! I might try it.
Margaret, you have a way of making your works look so simple, but I know it’s not.
I like the bold colors especially in Sat’s painting with the touch of light on the table.
