Another attempt with gouache, I did a quick pen & ink on site with notes and came home and used gouache. I’m happier when I do watercolor and use gouache as accents!!!

I’ve been trying gouache too, and it does work differently! This is really lovely. You’ve made it seem very inviting. Has your style changed just a bit lately, or am I imagining that?
I don’t know where the watercolor ends and the gouache begins, but you are getting a rich color and vitality in your greens.
This summer, when I needed to get in a quick study, I would do a sketch and pattern of dark with a tombo, and come back to add WC or gouache later. Kind of a similar process…
