There is one Do over here and the rest are just little studies. I wasn’t especially good about going over the class I took as I challenged myself to do, but will continue to do it in small bites. I’ve enjoyed doing little studies with the intention of just exploring materials and seeing what happens.. If I find something I really like I will do a painting based on that.
I really like your explorations… These are beautiful! My favorite is the first. The grays are very interesting and have movement and texture. The “step” shapes of dark leading to the brilliant orange suggest a cascading feeling.
I’m in agreement with Susan. The 1st is my favorite also. I quickly saw rocks and a path to climb which leads to the top of the mountain. That 1 stroke of orange brings life to the painting.
