This is a very strong composition, and I love the texture you achieved, especially in the background. The form of the apple is really well done, and it looks yummy!
Just beautiful Piper! The loosely done ribbon leads me in and around the apple and up. For me it is hugely important to the composition and gives you fun chances to play with your edges. It’s great that you found places to completely loose edges and others to contrast the hard and soft ones. Well done!
Such interesting shapes throughout, Piper. The blue running through adds a nice contrast of color and shape.
This is a very interesting painting. My eye travels around but not out, with nice value changes and depth.
