Looks like the bird is deciding on its many choices to eat. I like your thin black outlines on each object, makes them stand out.
The bird really takes the starring role here, I think. It looks so happy and ready to burst into song. Looks like a very meaningful grouping on your mantel. I like the subtle colors and textures in this arrangement.
You have so many treasures and memories around your house… Feathers and pots and mystery orbs all with significance to you. I like the way you did this mantel group… all the beautiful warm and cool grays… and your singing blackbird announcing the group!
The bird looks as though she’s leading a chorus, celebrating the first day of spring (which I believe it was last Thursday). Such a happy painting.
