This one has a lovely ‘atmospheric’ ( I think that’s how you spell it!) quality. It looks like a sunbeam in shining down on the person. The road flows nicely into the distance.
I getting a story from your last 2 weeks paintings. Last week the hiker was heading towards the mountains at dusk. This week he is hiking out of the mountains with the sunlight at his back. The light gives it an entirely different feel.
Yes, he does look like he’s highlighted in a beam of light. Very interesting. Really lovely painting.
This has such a loose natural feel. Ialso like the way you lead the eye to the hiker on the path with your surrounding vegetation.
I like the contrast of the loose “watery”” shapes and the more defined
