My original challenge was too challenging so I changed! I’m working out designs/sketches/painting some of the many photos I planned to paint ‘someday’. Not finished but I’m understanding what I have been told by teachers for many years about the importance of planning!

It’s really interesting to see the steps you took to get to the top result, from photo to sketch to field notes. It’s a beautiful piece.
I really like your design in this piece. It’s also interesting to see your sketche. You crystallize your thinking into a lot of clearly expressed info. Kudos! I’m inspired.
I love the overall strong values and beautiful subtle pastel like tints in the snow.

I. Love to see the different approaches artists take. Obviously planning helps you arrive at a lovely finish.. It inspires me to try to do a bit more of that! I really like the limited palette you used in this.
I just love how you capture the rugged beauty of Maine in your paintings.
Your colors add warmth to the winter landscape. It’s a lovely painting.
Wow! I just love how you have captured the warmth and glow of the sun peaking between the trees! This is beautiful Margaret the painting and the composition.
