These are collages made from the paper created in my class. 1 and 3 are very small-3” x 3”. 2 and 4 are 8”x 8”. The larger ones also have some elements that I made last year.

I admire how much you are able to express with your abstract work. Just beautiful
Your papers are very beautiful. I’m amazed how you put all those shapes and textures and script together to make even the most simple composition compelling. My favorite this week is your first. It’s simpler than the others, but I love the way you use the edge of the torn paper to create line… the fluid script and the bold pieces of color.
I marvel that you are able to make these papers, keep them organized and then make a vibrant and beautiful composition with them. I love the callligraphy and the simplicity in the first one.
Hi Deb, I find them all very impressive , the colors are gorgeous too. I admire collage, never tried it. My favorite is the second , I’m seeing lots of different shapes, very thoughtful.
Hi Deb! Wow, the papers you made in these collages are just gorgeous! What a cool class. I really like the abstract and script in the first one and love all the different patterns, big and small x’s, and message, “be brave”, all pulled together beautifully in #4
Each piece is beautiful, balanced and calming. 2 speaks to me of nature with the moon, stars, feather and what appears as a peek at mountains beneath the feather. How amazing that you are creating them with your handmade paper!

Your collage work is always so interesting. How cool to make your own paper! I especially like 4. My eye just travels around, so much to see.

Four is my favorite, my eye keeps going around and around never leaving the painting and seeing more each time.
