This is a study I did for the class I’m taking with Liz Prescott on composition and color. I loosely quote her, “All art is abstract, some is representational.” For me, a good reminder….

I agree with Les. The color tells me that it’s nature, but the shapes could also be buildings. I really love the green shape above the red slash.
It looks ancient, mysterious and very peaceful. I’m drawn to the vibrant green colors along with the geometric darker shapes, as well. They can be interpreted as buildings. So interesting.
