I’m working on getting back into oils outdoors. I love the oils…but not so much when I open my box and find the colors have all slid down the palette into a soupy mush. This is late day sun over Gardner Lake.

I don’t even want to look at my oil palette!
This has a nice feeling of evening coming on, I feel like I’m standing there in that beautiful spot.
I get a very peaceful feeling from this piece. Really beautiful.
I feel the peace, as well. You’ve captured the lovely stillness of the sun settling upon the trees.
Not sure my comment went through
Oh I’m so sorry you had your pallet run into a mush. That sounds like something that would only happen to me! The painting is so pretty though! I feel I’m standing right there by the lake just before the sun goes down. Love it!
It must be so exciting after a busy summer to sit dow alone with a fresh palette! Beautiful painting of that view
