This is in no way a finished painting, but since I haven’t posted in a while I thought I’d send it. It’s hard to tell in the photo, but I used acrylics on canvas and I really like the way the canvas takes the paint…not those hard edges and sheen you get with a board. This was just playing since i haven’t painted in so long, but I’m going to get some canvas boards and give it a try. I also like messy!
You’re right it looks and feels more like oil, nice and thick and gooey, juicy, I’ll be interested to see if that’s the key to the hard edges since I’ve never gotten into liking the feel of acrylic.

I love this! The small piece of green gold pulls me in and the line to the right leads my eye down and around. Play and be messy!!
I love the muted grays, just beautiful
There is such a sense of reflected light. I feel as though I’m in a kitchen filled with various jars, a blender and a little branch of something in the center of the painting. Really nice!
The first thing I thought was jars also. I like the different shapes and overlapping strokes.
