I would like to introduce you to a new friend who is joining our group. Most of you have met Sue VanVeldhuisen. Well, this is Sue’s mother, a wonderful artist who has painted almost her whole life. Read on….Susan
These two paintings of Lady Slipper and Trillium were Roger’s favorites of all the paintings I painted. I hope you enjoy them as much as he did. Grace and Peace, Priscilla Ather” (Sue’s mother)
Welcome Priscilla,
This is absolutely beautiful with a real sense and feeling of where it lives.

Welcome Priscilla, these two are wonderful. So fresh and alive, your colors and the light make them feel so real. Your leaves have a softness about them. I can see why they would be your husband’s favorite.
Welcome aboard, looking forward to meeting and possibly painting with you.
Hello Priscilla. Welcome to the group. Your painting makes me feel like I’m in a cool glade. The flowers seem joyful and elegant. It’s a lovely painting.
Nice to meet you, Priscilla! Your painting is beautiful! I could only bring up one painting of the Lady Slipper but it is such a loving portrait of the delicate flowers nestled in woods.

Welcome Priscilla! Thank you for sharing these beautiful botanical paintings. They are so nice and I admire your attention to all the subtle details in the flowers and leaves
Wow! These paintings are absolutely stunning Pricilla! The pedals on the lady slipper look so pretty and delicate and I love the vibrant greens of the mossy grass. The leaves appear velvety smooth. I feel like they are two gems hidden in a secret garden.
Hi, This is Ann Fitch,
I am on the beach with my daughter Maureen, our whole family … and friends from San Diego. Maureen showed me how to get on Art web site.
Sue, your Mother’s paintings are beautiful! Maureen will meet you all this fall.
Welcome to the group Priscilla! It’s exciting to have a new artist onboard. These two painting have a poetic feel to me. The undulations of the leaves and velvety “feel” of the paint are like visiting an enchanted forest. The flowers are like graceful ladies. I can understand why Roger loved them so.
